Englophone!
In this month's newsletter, you'll get an update on Englophone (my newest project).
Englophone is my newest project! It's a phonetic alphabet (which means exactly one letter for one sound), designed specifically for the English language. The Englophone video essay should post somewhere around May 12th. I have it completely scripted out, I'm just waiting for good filming weather, and the soonest that that will happen for me is the 11th. Here are a few sneak peek frames, though:
These are all variations on the same basic grapheme (unique letter shape): a lowercase A.
These are the 38 letters of my Englophone alphabet.
These are examples of different phonemes (unique letter sound). Even though ʃ is traditionally represented in English with two letters, S and H, it is still one phoneme and not two.
